This Teaching Atlas is a comprehensive collection of lectures and teaching cases designed to provide Radiological Technologists with an extensive understanding of the current state of breast imaging. More than 1,200 high-resolution mammographic images are included on the CD-ROM. Zoom in with a simple click for close-up magnification. Areas covered include plain film mammography, screening mammography, magnification views, additional views for specific situations, breast ultrasound, specimen radiography, and breast interventional procedures. Interventional procedures include cyst aspiration, ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy, stereotactic-guided core needle biopsy, and needle localization procedures for surgical biopsy. The student can use this tool to learn terminology, patient positioning, artifacts, basic diagnosis, normal variants, applicable radiation physics, and pathology.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs): Each of the 3 teaching collections is approved by the ASRT for 8 hours of Category A Continuing Education Units. Completion of all 3 collections is approved for 24 hours.

The completion of this home study education program provides you with CEUs certified for radiological technologists by the ASRT. For each of the three teaching sets (A, B, C), studying the cases and passing the test qualifies for the specified amount of CEU Category A credit hours. You may be able to use these CEUs to meet the requirements for ARRT, FDA, MQSA, and individual state organizations.
